Serata alla Sinatra in Della Nona Italian Restaurant

As a seasoned wedding-singer and master of ceremonies, I’ve had the privilege of performing in some of Mexico’s most breathtaking venues, from the colonial charm of San Miguel de Allende to the sun-kissed shores of Casa Garrobo in Zihuatanejo. Recently, I brought my passion for music to the elegant Della Nona Italian Restaurant in Pilarica, León, Guanajuato, during their Serata alla Sinatra at Della Nona Vera Cucina. This unforgettable evening perfectly illustrated how the right music can elevate any occasion, whether it’s an intimate wedding or a sophisticated themed dinner.

Crafting the Perfect Atmosphere for an Unforgettable Evening

The evening began as guests arrived at Della Nona’s stunning open-roof terrace, where the night sky stretched out above and a beautifully illuminated garden set the scene for what was to come. The warm glow of the lights, the attentive service, and the sophisticated ambiance created a backdrop that was nothing short of magical. It’s moments like these that I strive to create at every wedding I perform—where the music, the setting, and the mood blend seamlessly to make every guest feel part of something truly special.

The Song List for the night:

Music is more than just sound; it’s an emotion, a memory, a story. During the Serata alla Sinatra, I selected a diverse array of songs that resonated with the evening’s elegant theme. From the timeless allure of Sinatra classics like The Best is Yet to Come to the romantic charm of Italian ballads like Arrivederci Roma, every note was chosen to enhance the experience. This same care goes into every wedding playlist I curate, ensuring that each song not only suits the occasion but also reflects the couple’s unique love story. For those planning their wedding music, I invite you to explore the Parent Dance and First Dance songlists I offer. Each list is thoughtfully crafted to help you find the perfect soundtrack for the unforgettable moments of your special day.

Engaging the Audience

One of the most rewarding aspects of performing is the connection I create with the audience. At Della Nona, the energy was electric—guests were lively, enthusiastic, and fully engaged with the performance. They didn’t just listen; they participated, cheering, applauding, and even requesting songs for future performances. This interactive experience is what I bring to every wedding, ensuring that every guest feels included in the celebration, turning a performance into a shared memory.

Behind the Music:

The Importance of Professional Sound Equipment

What many might overlook is the critical role that professional sound equipment plays in delivering a flawless performance. For this event, I used an Allen and Heath SQ5 mixer, Bose L1 Model 2 speakers, and my reliable Shure Super 55 microphone—the same setup I bring to destination weddings in Mexico. The clarity and richness of the sound not only filled the venue but also allowed every guest to enjoy the music without missing a single detail. This commitment to quality ensures that every performance, whether in a grand venue or a cozy restaurant, is nothing less than extraordinary.

Building Community Through Music and Connection

Alicia and Christian, a wedding couple I had the pleasure of singing for a few years ago, enjoying a special moment at Della Nona as I serenade them once again.

Performing at Della Nona was not just about the music; it was about reconnecting with people. Among the audience were two couples whose weddings I had previously performed at—seeing familiar faces and knowing that my music had been a part of their special day was incredibly rewarding. The evening also brought new opportunities, as I secured a wedding booking for the following year and made several valuable connections. Building and nurturing these relationships is at the heart of what I do, fostering a community of trust and collaboration within the wedding and events industry.

Insights for Couples:

One of the most important lessons from nights like these is the power of personalization. Music is the heartbeat of any event, and selecting the right songs is crucial in setting the tone and atmosphere. I always encourage couples to start by considering their

first dance and parent dance choices—these moments are deeply personal and should reflect the essence of their relationship. From there, I work with them to tailor the music to their vision, ensuring that every note is perfectly in tune with their story.

Final Reflections: Making Your Event Truly Memorable

The performance at Della Nona was a beautiful reminder of how music can transform an evening into something truly unforgettable. Whether you’re planning a wedding in the historic charm of San Miguel de Allende, a beachside celebration in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, or a grand event anywhere in Mexico, I’m here to help you create a soundtrack that will linger in your guests’ memories long after the last note has been played. I invite you to explore the songlists and services I offer, and together, Creating Unforgettable Moments through Music, create the perfect musical experience for your special day.
